Ministry of Men

The Ministry of Men (MoM) is focused on equipping the male participants of The Rock Bible Church “for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12). We are convinced that male leadership is God’s design for both, our families and the local church. In the same way the apostle Peter charged the elders of the church, we believe that males are to be prepared to “shepherd” those within their circle of influence, “exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge but proving to be examples to the flock” (1 Peter 5:2-3). To that end, the Leadership Team of the Ministry of Men at TRBC is committed to initiating, planning, and implementing a variety of opportunities for men to:

  • Be Equipped. To engage in activities that will enable men to fulfill the good work which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them (individually and collectively).

  • Unite. To engage in activities that will encourage men of TRBC to preserve and promote the unity we have in Christ. i.e. Develop authentic and accountable relationships with one another.

  • Invite. To engage in activities that allow the men of TRBC to introduce unbelieving friends, family members and associates to other men at TRBC.

The guiding Scripture passage for the Ministry of Men at The Rock Bible Church is 1 Corinthians 16:13-14:

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
